ROCHESTER ALLOTMENT & GARDENERS ASSOCIATION (RAGA)

(Affiliated to Royal Horticultural Society and Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies)

RAGA is an Association which welcomes as members (190+)

We welcome gardeners in Rochester and the surrounding areas (Strood, Cuxton).

Our main activities are:-

1) A discounted (not for profit) shop selling:

• Fertilisers, composts, fabrics and a wide range of horticultural sundries

• Onion sets (October and January) and shallots (January).

• Seed potatoes to individual order in September, delivered January.

• Mr Fothergill seeds to individual order in November, delivered December – currently 60% discount.

The Lower Shop is open on Lower Priestfields Allotment site every Sunday 10:00 – 12:00.

The Upper shop (selected range) is open on Upper Priestfields allotment site some Saturdays (see dates on the site gate), 11:00 – 12:00.

2) Organise trips for members

An annual coach visit to a RHS garden – usually coach only costs with free entry to garden. See the events page <CLICK HERE>

Annual Show – now to be held at Sir Thomas Aveling School, Arethusa Road, Rochester

Three Newsletters a year.

Membership currently costs just £4 a year (1st May to following 30th April) with a £1 joining fee Fees are reviewed at the AGM. The next years RAGA membership fee will be deducted from the main seed order (discount) refund (if applicable)).
